Braunton Burrows Family Activity Day

Event Date: 25th June 2022, 09:30 – 16:00

Event Category: Show/Festival/Event

Location: Braunton Burrows

For World Sand Dune Day on June 25th, we will be holding a range of fun family activities on Braunton Burrows in Devon

You could get involved with some crafts like pyrography: burn your favourite sand dune creature into some wood to take away as a unique souvenir. Or, help our pollinators by making some wildflower seed bombs to take home by creating pockets of wildflowers to support our butterflies and bees.

Perhaps, come along and make your pledge for nature! What are you going to do to help protect the natural world? You could also just have a go on our giant sand dunes & adders game, or our big jigsaws.

The Burton art box will also be joining us, with a number of activities;

The Burton Art Box takes The Burton ‘on the road’. The converted horse box is filled with fun, free arts activities led by brilliant artists and performers, and will be touring Torridge and North Devon throughout the summer. At the World Sand Dune Day you can make colourful prints and cards exploring the endangered species that are living in the dunes, and there’ll be something for all the family!

We’ll also be here if you would like to come along and find out a little bit more about some of the amazing species we find at Braunton Burrows, or chat to us about the Dunescapes project and what’s happening at the Burrows.

Location:  You’ll find us near Flagpole Dune by the Sandy Lane car park.
