Event Category: Talk / Conference

Location: Online

Part of the Braunton Countryside Centre online events

Join Adam Reeve from the Ramblers Pantry for this online talk and Q&A to find out what’s good to forage this autumn

Adam’s  talk will include plant identification from field to hedgerow, health and nutritional benefits of plants as well as sustainable gathering techniques and toxins to avoid. Adam will show us some seasonally gathered plant specimens and demonstrate harvesting techniques as well as parts of plants to pick. There will be a chance to ask Adam questions at the end of the talk so you can enquire about plants you’ve spotted and what to look out for.
This online event will be hosted using Zoom. You don’t have to have the app but you can download a free version. Joining instructions will be sent to attendees before the event.

About The Presenter
“My wild food journey started about 10 years ago and was sparked by the question of whether or not you can eat acorns. The journey from there was slow and steady and was aided by Richard Mabey’s classic, Food for Free. Moving to Devon propelled things forward due to both being in a place of great abundance and spending a couple of years learning from wild food teachers all over the country. I started leading wild food walks 3 years ago including land plants and seaweeds, having taught at the Clovelly Seaweed Festival for the past 3 years, and look forward to sharing my passion with you!”
