We are pleased to announce that the fund for 2011-12 is now open for applications.
We receive this money from Defra because the Coast is designated AONB and our partnership hopes to distribute around £40,000 in 2011 to support projects on the North Devon Coast. To qualify, projects must benefit landscape, wildlife or heritage or develop environmentally friendly ways of working with our AONB coastal parishes.

We expect grants to be £5000 or less but exceptional projects may get a larger award. Projects must have some matched funding but we can grant up to 75% of the project costs (50% for local authority funded organisations) .
We have a new, simpler application process
and would welcome comments from an applicants point of view.

Before you start, ask yourself, will your project do the following?
- Further the North Devon AONB’s purposes
- Have the support and involvement of communities within the North Devon AONB
- Bring people together in partnerships to tackle problems
- Demonstrate best practice
- Be completed by the end of January 2012
