Sailing from Ilfracombe to Clovelly is a challenge for any yachtsman. If you come to Clovelly, you can witness the arrival of the hardy contestants at the end of an exhilarating day. It is very much a fun event and The Hon. John Rous will present the winner with a bottle of rum.

A great day out for all the family, packed full of fun and action down at the harbour including Slave Auction of men dressed in fetching togas, exciting rescue display, stalls and much more.

Devon Wildlife Trust VMCA Rockpool Ramble
Rockham Beach, Mortehoe. Meet at Mortehoe car park at 12.30pm for short walk to beach or on beach by steps
1 pm - 3 pm
For all rockpooling events, nets are provided (please don’t bring your own) and events last for 1 ½ - 2 hours. Please wear suitable clothing and footwear (water sandals, old trainers or wellies) for all events. Dogs are not permitted on any walks. Unless otherwise stated, costs are £1 adult, 50p child and £2.50 family. For all events, children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian who must take responsibility for them and their safety. DWT welcomes people from all backgrounds and abilities at its events. Please bear in mind many of these events are in remote locations, on uneven ground with difficult access. Some beaches are more accessible than others, please contact us to discuss your needs (or ideas or feedback). We also maintain three indoor rockpool aquaria and displays, please contact us for more details.
