The search is on for nominees for the North Devon AONB Coastal Awards 2008. These prestigious awards, organised by the Barnstaple and District Conservation Society, give formal recognition to individuals, organisations, groups, businesses, schools and youth groups who work hard to conserve both the natural and built environment in the North Devon Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) – the coastal stretch from Combe Martin to the Cornish border.

Linda Blanchard, the AONB Manager explains, “Through these awards we aim to recognise the high standard of work carried out within our AONB. So, if you’d like to nominate your own project or that of another, check the entry criteria and fill out an entry form. Completed forms must be sent to the Barnstaple and District Civic Society whose members will be judging the awards. But, you will need to be quick because the closing date for nominations is Monday 2nd June.”
